its realy great to hear something about another faith ( here in Barbados we have a Muslim population).whats even more fascinating that from the pics its looks like Muslims include and interact with varying ethnicities. im wondering what its like to be Muslim in this age when there is so much fear/ Islamaphobia, speculation, and probably misperceptions about the faith and its members. Would love to see more.

Hi Alana! I’m so glad you enjoyed that video, there is much more footage on IMAN and the work they do, however, there is nothing on youtube, that’s why I just put something small together. Well, I know Sadia and I love working for IMAN because it’s one of those organizations that continuously strives to eliminate stereotypes through proper awareness. It is difficult for Muslims, especially after 9/11. However, it is just important to be who you are and to never conform. You must always have faith. As Muslims, we have a duty to always be engaged in our community through civic involvement, IMAN offers us that outlet. We don’t believe in making everyone convert or worrying ourselves with whose religion is superior, we just believe in leading by example and being good role models.
