10-10:15 – Pre-Knowledge Survey
10:15-10:45– Introductions
10:45 – iChat with Barbados (Introduce each other with name, age and at least one thing that we should know about you)
10:50-11:50 Create a Tag Cloud
11:50-12:00 Review  essential questions and syllabus
12:00-12:45 - Lunch
12:45-1:15 Log in to Computers/Wordpress Overview of Flickr,  GoogleMaps and Picnik
1:15-2:30 - Lab time: Rotate through four stations:
•    STATION 1 -  Shoot photos of each other using PhotoBooth and a digital still camera, upload to Flickr and use Picnic to enhance
•    STATION 2 - Find where you live and place pushpins on GoogleMaps , show your trips or family migrations, embed photos if time
•    STATION 3 - Create video on haters and hate speech
•    STATION 4 - Watch A Girl Like Me and post comments onto Wordpress

2:30-2:55- View finished video, Map and Flickr photos and decide on music
Homework: 1) Add to map in some way 2) take photos of you in front of your homes/neighborhoods. 3) interact on Facebook with someone from Barbados 4)

2:55-3:00 - Post on the Wall: What worked, what didn’t, compliments, shout outs, other comments, suggestions or questions

Monday – Barbados

10:00-11:30 – Catch up, edit and review videos. Hopefully you can post them by Wednesday!?
11:30-11:45 Prepare to introduce yourselves to Chicago group on iChat by saying your name, your age and something important to know about you
11:45 – iChat (make yourself available on I Chat using 15” MACBOOK PRO). We will call you. Make sure no one else is online at the time or it won’t work. Keep still as possible.
12:00 – 2:00 We will be trying to catch up with what you have already learned and will be going out on the streets to shoot footage and do interviews. If you have time could you think of questions that you would like us to ask people in the US. You can do this as a simple vlog and post it to YouTube or you could just enter it as a written post.
